In The Works

Thanks to the glory that is the economic stimulus check, today I was able to buy yarn for more projects. As soon as I got home, I cast on for a blue & yellow striped zip-up hooded sweater, inspired by a similar hooded sweatshirt that my boyfriend has. I've already finished the back, and now I'm working on the left front. For this project (which is currently untitled because I've asked my sweetie pie to name it) I'm using Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran.

I also bought some purple Rowan Wool Cotton to finally knit Annabelle, the first concept I designed. It's a short-sleeved polo with an allover diamond & cloverleaf pattern. And I got a few skeins of K1C2 Babyboo for Henry, a long-sleeved raglan henley with tiny cables flanking the raglan shaping. It's a lovely pale blue color with a gorgeous sheen.

I've decided to use the white Babyboo that I already have to knit a little short-sleeved cropped cardigan with a single-button closure and skinny ribbon woven through the collar and sleeves. I think I want to do a picot trim too, but I'm worried it'll make the design too fussy. I want this sweater, which I'm naming Cleo (after my great-grandmother), to be sweet and simple.

So that's what I've been working on. I swear that someday I will write all of these patterns out and make them available for purchase! Right now I'm just trying to keep up with all of my ideas.
